A Recipe for Grace
Ingredients:
2 cups of unconditional love
1 cup of patience (extra if needed)
3 tablespoons of forgiveness
1 teaspoon of humility
½ cup of compassion
A pinch of wisdom
A handful of kind words
1 overflowing heart of mercy
Instructions:
- Prepare Your Heart: Begin by softening any hardness within. Let go of your anger and create space for grace to flow.
- Mix Love and Patience: Stir these together until they are thoroughly combined and inseparable. Love without patience can be short-lived, but together, they endure.
- Fold in Forgiveness: Gently incorporate forgiveness, and make sure no lumps of bitterness remain. Let it dissolve into the mixture completely.
- Sprinkle with Humility: A little humility goes a long way. It helps grace rise within you and keeps pride from overpowering the flavor.
- Add compassion and Wisdom: Stir in understanding and kindness. These ingredients balance the sweetness of grace with the depth of discernment.
- Season with Kind Words: Speak life into others with every conversation. Words flavored with encouragement and gentleness make grace more nourishing.
- Let It Simmer: Grace takes time to develop. Allow it to grow through daily practice, moments of reflection, and small acts of kindness.
This recipe is best served warm with an open heart. Share it generously with others. Don’t leave home without it.
